  1. Whisk together all the ingredients but the brioche and clarified butter. Place the bread on a sheet pan or baking dish pour over the egg mixture so that the bread is evenly covered. Allow the bread to absorb the egg mixture for at least ten minutes and up to overnight.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of the clarified butter and melt. Add slices in a single layer to the pan (you will have to do a few batches). Cook the bread until deeply browned and crispy on both sides. Serve with maple syrup, butter, and seasonal fruit.
